I’m sort of proud of these wonky stockings I made for Nate and I this year. They’re made entirely from old-man pants from the thrift store. And, it’s the first time I broke out the sewing machine in a few years.
I’ve been obsessed with garland-making this holiday season. Seems that any fabric or colorful paper can be turned into a pretty strand of garland. To put my personal spin on it, I hand-cut leaves from an old pair of women’s vintage wool trousers and attached them with vintage buttons. I also did a full strand of garland from plaid wool trousers. It really adds a nice warm touch to my holiday decor.
Today I am grateful to finally have my own studio space (as well as a million other things). It’s been my dream to have a spacious and inspiring space of my very own. It’s barely set up but it’s so wonderful to be able to stare at all my favorite things in one place. Next step: make it functional…
